Episode 35: HIV/AIDS stigma

Attitudes towards HIV sufferers have changed in recent years in Myanmar. But the negative stigma attached to those with the illness still remains – especially for those when trying to get a job.

This week we hear the desperate story of one woman who hid the fact she has HIV so she could get work in a restaurant.

We also speak to a man who didn’t tell his wife about him having HIV for 13 years, and learn of the future dreams of a young man who got the disease by getting a tattoo.
